Is your little one ready to try peanut butter?
We've got good news! Introducing peanut protein to severe eczema or egg allergy prone babies at 4-10 months old and continuing to age 5 has been shown in one study to reduce the risk of developing peanut allergies.** For infants less than 7 months of age, soften puffs with 4-6 teaspoons of water. For older infants who can manage to dissolve textures, unmodified puffs can be fed. If dissolvable textures are not yet part of the infant's diet, softened puffs should be provided.
**For most infants with severe eczema and/or egg allergy who are already eating sold foods, introducing foods containing ground peanuts between 4 and 10 months of age and continuing consumption may reduce the risk of developing peanut allergy by 5 years of age. FDA has determined, however, that the evidence supporting this claim is limited to one study.
Once opened keep airtight and use product within 5 days.
